Celtic Harps, Lap Dulcimers, Hammered Dulcimers, Bowed Psalteries

We make three sizes of Bowed Psalteries,  all look like the one in the photo above.  They all feature solid wood construction and an inlay between the sound board and the pin block.  We make the inlays in our shop so the style will vary.  The tops of the psalteries are Sitka on the smaller instruments and Sycamore on the largest.  The backs are always book matched and the ends off the pin block are veneered to hide the end grain.  All our psalteries are fully chromatic.  Psalteries come with a padded cloth case, tuning wrench and rosin.

Alto Psaltery, 32 notes
Size:  8 inches wide and 23 inches long (21 cm x 58 cm)
Range:  F above middle c up 3 1/2 octaves to C.

Tenor Psaltery. 26 notes
Size: 9 1/2 inches wide and 28 inches long (23 cm x 70 cm)
Range:  F below middle c up two octaves to F.
